
Gale took part in a modeling competition in Perth aged 18 years old. After several years of modeling, Gale was noticed after being cast in 1999 to appear in a series of adverts for an Italian company in the field of telecomm, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) She was a part of the advertisement of the company up to 2006. The Australian Tourist Commission also hired Gale in 2003 as the "face for Australia" for Italy. Gale appeared on the covers of Australian Marie Claire Grazia Gioia Italian Maxim Australian InStyle, Australian Marie Claire, Italian GQ and Australian GQ and was also featured in Vogue Italia and Australian Cosmopolitan editorials. Gale has modelled at Italian fashion houses like Gianfranco Ferre, Genny, Gai Mattiolo as well as runway shows on behalf of Mariella Burani as well as Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. Gale is also an avid devoted fan of numerous Australian designers including Colette dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. Since 2006 she served as the fashion analyst for the Australian television awards, known as the Logies. In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement of runway fashion after fifteen years. She walked on the catwalk for the final time just weeks later at the David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. The model wore the Wonder Woman costume she had planned to wear to the Justice League of America film in the process of in development. In March of 2011, Gale was back on the runway to close Alex Perry's 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival show. August of 2011 was Gale's 10th birthday with department shop David Jones, the longest run fashion contract in Australia. That same month, Gale was named ambassador for L'Oreal Paris, joining Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. Gale made an appearance in a L'Oreal shampoo commercial that was filmed in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
